Vaughan is the Assembly Member for Cardiff South and Penarth. He was elected in 2011 and in that time has been the chair of the Health and Social Care Committee and sat on the Environment and Sustainability Committee. He also chaired the All Party Group on Rail in Wales and the All Party Group on Co-operatives. Prior to his election as the Labour and Co-operative AM for Cardiff South and Penarth, Vaughan was a Cardiff councillor for Butetown.
“It is always important to learn from injustices of the past and to highlight how those inform genuinely current challenges”, Vaughan says. “I look forward to seeing how this project [FIP]can assist in the improving present and future in delivering a fair criminal justice system”.
