This article was first published by Fitted-In in 2009. Simon Hall’s appeal was dismissed in January 2011. On August 8th 2013 Hall shocked supporters by confessing that he was in fact guilty. In February 2014 Hall was found hanging in his cell.

Hall’s case was the only one of Heath’s cases that was referred back to the Court of Appeal as a result of its review. The CCRC’s review remains the only examination of Heath’s cases since his fall from grace.
